When your bees arrive:

• KEEP THEM COOL:
  • Either inside your home or office or other appropriate location with adequate ventilation.
  • No direct sun.
  • Shade or darkened area preferred.
  • A 60 -70 degree range will give your bees time to settle down and rest after their journey if you can provide it for them.
• If they are quiet or are giving off a soft hum they will be ok until you install your package in the evening.
• If the bees continue to buzz loudly or are running madly on the screens they would most likely prefer a small drink of water. You can spray the screen with a light coat of water with a misting spray bottle. Repeat as necessary until you hive your package in order to keep them happy.
• If you have purchased multiple packages you can also separate the individual containers from the shipping screens. This will give you better access to mist the bees as well as make their installation go more smoothly.
